12:17a - This weekend in review
Been a quiet weekend, started with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) missadroit feeling very much under the weather, poor thing. We missed the IPM party, which really sucks, but so does the non-fun state of being sick. I swear, next time we say we're going to make it somewhere, we'll both have to spend the week before hand in quarantine bubbles eating nothing but nutrition paste. So far, we've both had an alternating record of several bouts of food poisoning, migraines, and various other overnight-onset illnesses causing us to miss IPM - once even seeing us turn the car around less than a mile from the_macross's house. It's seriously not an avoidance tactic, but damn do we do a good job of avoiding IPM when we set out to attend. Grr.
So, the weekend was spent in laziness, since missadroit was still enjoying her contiguous vacation days, while I was happy to be off for the weekend from my week of on-again-off-again work days. The most adventurous thing we did was get out for a bit of egregious consumerism, buying a few CDs (she had a gift certificate, I had no such excuse) and making a run by CompUSA where I picked up Metroid Prime.
The bulk of the evening thereafter was spend in Metroid-land. I played the GameCube Metroid Prime, while she played the GameBoy Advance Metroid Fusion we'd gotten for Christmas from her parents. Yeah, the place is still a bit of a clutter pit from incoming and outgoing giftmas activities, but bah. It can wait.
Today was similarly spent - that is, mostly in a lazy semi-Metroid filled daze. Happily, I was able to reestablish contact with 96.3 on our stereo tonight so as to listen to Big Sonic Heaven. Still no luck tuning in the USB tuner for MP3 recording. The later part of this evening was spent in nice game of Scrabble on the circa 1982 Deluxe set I'd recently inherrited from my Mom.
Girl is now sleeping on my lap. Should drag us both off to bed soon.
